Bummer

Well my arm did not stay in place and I am going under the knife tomorropw morning at 9:30. I am pretty much freaking out since surgery is new to me; so I will keep everyone posted on how the surgery goes. Everything should be fine and my Mom will be taking care of me. Take care.

Broke Arm

Well, after having my first doctors appointment when they re-aligned my bones, I went back today and got updated x-rays. My bones are still aligned properly and the option for surgery is my choice. The longer the bones stay this way i should be okay without it, but i still have up to 21 days that they could till slip. I am going for the NO surgery route and pray that it all works out. I really like my Resident Doctor Uzi; he has been taking good care of me...I go back in on Monday at 8 for the next update. I will keep you all posted!

A new day

Well, its been 5 days since I broke my arm and thanks to Jody and Abby I am getting along fairly well. I made a full day of work today--Abby has been getting me ready in the mornings, I am sure she is ready to leave me to fend for myself. I have realized the friends I have made here in Washington are amazing! With Christopher gone my friends have really shown me that we will all be okay as long as we stick together. Thank you for everything! Thanks to everyone that has checked in on me as well; you all make me realize how my broken arm is not the end of the world, it could be worse.
We are going to the Toby Keith concert on Saturday; I am excited to get out and do something. I will update with pictures. It should be a blast.

Don't read with a weak stomach!

Well, as some of you know lucky me broke my arm again playing soccer; except this time it was not such a clean break. I fractured my ulna along with completely breaking my radius in two, so the pain I endured today during my six hour hospital visit was excruciating! I wish this pain upon no one (not even my worst enemy, which by the way I only have one and he broke my arm last year). They tried to numb my arm five times with five long needles (can we say phobia--freaked out) and then by hanging my fingers in some contraption with weights on my arm trying to pull my bones back into place, when this did not work out they decided to try it manually. So being slightly numb they tried to force my bones to move while I was awake and let me tell you I screamed and cried so loud! This is the worst pain I have ever felt! After efforts of trying to put me through honestly torture the Doctors decided to sedate me and break a sweat while trying to maneuver my bones back in place. Yuck! All I can say is the cleats are going up for a while and tonight I will be drugged up on pain meds and getting a lot of rest.

P.S.
I have no idea how people chicken peck on the computer it is annoying to only be able to use one hand. Try it out one day.

Another week down...

Don't you just adore my husband? What a wonderful message to wake up to! :) Boy do I miss us! One more week down and I am not counting how many are left that would just drain me.
At least I have been keeping busy this week; work was draining, went to Latin Dance/Zumba class on Tuesday evening and two soccer games on Thursday night which put me to bed close to midnight--ugh! I have been asked to play with a team on Saturday, to more or less promote women's soccer, it should be a good time, but after last nights soccer games I am quickly realizing the older I get the longer it takes to recover. In college two games in one weekend were no big deal, now I play on Thursday evening women's league and it takes at least 3 days to get the kinks out of muscles. Getting old sucks! Well, its a movie night and then off to bed for me and I will update everyone on how this weekend goes with our big soccer "to-do."

Well its the "bad guy" here. You know the one that has left his beautiful wife for 5mths. I just want to let D know that I love her with all my heart. D you are a strong person, your beautiful, caring, and most importantly you are my backbone. I love you for who you are and am very greatful for the support that you give me. I couldnt ask for a better wife. Keep your head up and I will be home soon.

Well, it's been about 8 months since I became inspired; I guess with a lot going on I haven't really put much time into posting. Christopher and I had our fairytale wedding May 24th, 2008; all of our favorite friends and family were present. It was the BEST day of my life, beautiful day, wonderful friends and family and everything I ever wished for on my wedding day. I am so lucky to have married my best friend and my rock. He has since left for his third tour and I have one month down and five to go; with wonderful friends to keep be busy, the time is finally starting to move along. I am signing off until the next time...
